How to succeed not fail in sports

Sports and succeeding in it is a funny thing. You can have someone who is a fine athlete yet can’t succeed. Then you could have an athlete who is average and yet they succeed. At first glance you can’t seem to explain it.But when you look closer you see the primary reason some have success while some fail is the mind. But what is the reasons for that?  In this article we shall take a look into that.

So why does the mind play such a big factor in sports?  As a San Diego sports psychologist I have been priveleged to see first hand why this is so.First thing you have to realize, the stereotype that thinks of athletes as dumb is far from the truth.Athletes really are some of the most intellgent people. And the ones that have the most success are the ones who have learned how to use their mind.

Funny thing a lot of athletes come in needing my anger management San Diego practice.  Most of the time this anger stems from their failures in sports.  But what I am able to do is turn them around. The way to really help them is to show them how failure begins within the mind.By learning how to use the mind effectively, they can accomplish great things.  It has been proven time and time again.

Once the athlete is truly able to understand the power their mind has they can achieve success.  Most of the time they can achieve tremendous success. It is just like how most things of life are.  The mind has so much impact on actions and results.I take notice of this not just with athletes but also see it in families.  The San Diego family therapist practice I run I have used some of the same principles to help families achieve success.Success in being able to deal with any family struggles that happen. In life as well as in sports the key to most things is your mind.
